Raj leads a multi-professional group working in machine learning and radiomics in radiation oncology. His interests are in advanced image processing and computational modelling of brain tumours, machine learning techniques for automatic segmentation of medical imaging, transfer learning, and prediction of tumour response and treatment toxicity in precision radiation therapy.  He is PI of Hamlet.rt, the first study of AI based predictive radiomics in radiation therapy, and is also a Clinical Consultant and founding member of the InnerEye team at Microsoft Research Cambridge.
