Professor Fiona Gilbert

Fiona is Head of Department for Radiology and her current research interests are in evaluating breast Tomosynthesis, non FDG radiotracers in cancer, and breast MRI. She is interested in using imaging to gain a better understanding of tumour physiology. She is an NIHR Senior Investigator. She is undertaking research in risk adaptive imaging to assess different ways of imaging dense breast tissue in women at increased risk of developing cancer. She is assessing AI tools to streamline reading of screening mammograms.
