Richard is Li Ka Shing Chair of Oncology, Head of the University Department of Oncology, Director of the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Centre and is also directing the efforts of the MFICM. He is one of the world’s leading experts in childhood brain tumours. As a Senior Group Leader in the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute his laboratory research is focused on understanding the link between normal development and the origins of cancer, particularly brain tumours.
