Vencel is currently developing treatment response monitoring sequences for hyperpolarized 13C and deuterium MRIS in preclinical environment and is also responsible for their clinical translation. The hyperpolarized project is a collaboration with the Department of Radiology and aims at more efficient, clinically feasible imaging of hyperpolarized substrates and their downstream metabolites while the deuterium work focuses on MR detection of newly developed 2H-labelled biomarkers.
