ICM presented at Science Day 2022

March 2, 2022

Dr Josh Kaggie, Dr Ines Horvat Menih and Ms Maria Delgardo Ortet presented at the 2022 Science Day on Saturday 2 April.

The team highlighted MFICM supported research in a two-part demonstration explaining the concept of Integrated Cancer Medicine and highlighting research using 3D-printed tumour moulds for precision tissue sampling.

The first demonstration used a computer monitor to display Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data and the second demonstration uses a 3D-printer to explain how 3D-printed tumour moulds are produced and utilised.

It was a fantastic day with over 280 attendees participating in the demonstrations and talking to the team. One attendee said they were “extremely impressed with the way the team explained how an MRI scan worked to both her and her 5 year old nephew, it helped him to understand what was happening with his Mum’s cancer treatment”.
